Who can leave a review
Only the homeowner and the tradesperson on a job completed through Pinnacle. Each has 14 days from when their review window opens. Neither can see the other's review until both are in or the 14 days are up, so nobody writes theirs after reading the other's.
What is published
A homeowner's review of a tradesperson is shown on that tradesperson's public verification page while they are a Pinnacle member, with the homeowner's first name, the month and year, and the type of project, and its star rating counts towards the tradesperson's average. A tradesperson's review of a homeowner is never public: only that homeowner, the tradesperson who wrote it, and our team see it.
What a review must not contain
- Anything that isn't about this job, or that you didn't experience yourself.
- Names, contact details or anything else that identifies another person.
- Threats, abuse, or discriminatory language.
- Adverts, links or anything promoting a business.
What we never do
We never remove or hide a review because it is negative or low-rated.
How reviews are checked
Text is screened automatically, and anything the screening flags is read by a person before it is published. A person, not the screening, decides whether flagged text is published and whether a review is taken down.
If we take a review down
We keep a record of it, tell the person who wrote it, and look again if they reply. If we got it wrong, we put it back.

While a review you wrote is published, you can withdraw it from your account.
