Roof access, equipment, electrical changes and battery location affect cost. Check scaffolding, installation, commissioning and paperwork in the quote. Forecasts should distinguish generation from savings and explain the tariffs and usage assumptions behind both.

Not necessarily. Ask how storage would change the proposed system for your pattern of use and compare the additional cost against the stated assumptions.
Compatibility needs checking. Share the existing inverter and system information so the installer can assess the options.
Do not assume that. Backup capability is system-specific and may need additional equipment. Ask exactly which circuits, if any, would remain supplied.
