Cowboy builders have cost homeowners their savings and good tradespeople their reputation. Most platforms check the company rather than the person behind it, so the ones who turn up and do the work properly get tarred with the same brush.

For you that matters in a practical way: every trade reading your listing has been vetted before they got here, on ID, insurance, qualifications and references, and homeowners running projects on Pinnacle see it too. It is a smaller audience than a directory you can buy your way into, and a considerably better qualified one.

Being listed is being findable, not being sold for. Nobody is sent your details without asking for them.

1. Apply

   Tell us what you supply, where you are and how far you deliver or travel. It takes a few minutes.

2. We check you

   Your company registration, your trading history and anything you have told us you hold. A person does this, and rings you to go through it: anything you hold that the form has no box for, a licence, a registration, a scheme membership, is told to us on that call. We come back to you either way.

3. Your listing goes live

   You appear in the directory under the categories you cover, to anyone searching near you.

4. They ask for your details

   A vetted tradesperson, or a homeowner running a project here, reads your listing and asks for your contact details. That is the point at which you hear from them.

5. You take it from there

   The conversation is yours. We do not quote for you, take the order, or add anything to what you charge.

Your company registration and trading history, the services you list and how far you travel. Some asbestos removal is licensed work, so if you tell us you hold an HSE licence, or that your surveyors hold the relevant qualification or your business holds UKAS accreditation, we record it and check it before your listing goes live rather than taking your word for it.

Being checked is the point of the directory. A trade choosing a supplier here knows somebody looked, which is not something they can assume anywhere else, and it is why we would rather list fewer businesses properly than many on trust.

Can I list surveying without removal?expand_more

Yes. Tick the category and let your website say which part you do. Surveys and removal are often two businesses, and a builder needs to know which they are ringing.

Do I get jobs through Pinnacle?expand_more

No. Vetted tradespeople find your listing and contact you directly, and so do homeowners who have found something they will not touch. We do not route work, quote for you or take anything from what you charge.

Who searches for asbestos services?expand_more

Vetted tradespeople, usually builders, roofers and heating engineers who have stopped a job near you because something looks wrong, and homeowners who have found the same thing in a garage roof or an old boiler cupboard.

Is licensed and non-licensed work told apart?expand_more

Not on the listing, which carries your categories and a link to your website. Say there what you are licensed to do and what you take on as non-licensed work, because the tradesperson reading needs to know before they ring.
