They want a generator that arrives fuelled, runs the tools they have, and can be swapped if it fails. A listing here puts you in front of the vetted tradespeople who need that near you.

Why Pinnacle exists

Cowboy builders have cost homeowners their savings and good tradespeople their reputation. Most platforms check the company rather than the person behind it, so the ones who turn up and do the work properly get tarred with the same brush.

For you that matters in a practical way: every trade reading your listing has been vetted before they got here, on ID, insurance, qualifications and references, and homeowners running projects on Pinnacle see it too. It is a smaller audience than a directory you can buy your way into, and a considerably better qualified one.

How a listing works

Being listed is being findable, not being sold for. Nobody is sent your details without asking for them.

  1. Apply

    Tell us what you supply, where you are and how far you deliver or travel. It takes a few minutes.

  2. We check you

    Your company registration, your trading history and anything you have told us you hold. A person does this, and rings you to go through it: anything you hold that the form has no box for, a licence, a registration, a scheme membership, is told to us on that call. We come back to you either way.

  3. Your listing goes live

    You appear in the directory under the categories you cover, to anyone searching near you.

  4. They ask for your details

    A vetted tradesperson, or a homeowner running a project here, reads your listing and asks for your contact details. That is the point at which you hear from them.

  5. You take it from there

    The conversation is yours. We do not quote for you, take the order, or add anything to what you charge.

What we check

Your company registration and trading history, the equipment you run and how far you travel. If you tell us you hold a hire association membership or your engineers hold electrical qualifications, we record it and check it.

Being checked is the point of the directory. A trade choosing a supplier here knows somebody looked, which is not something they can assume anywhere else, and it is why we would rather list fewer businesses properly than many on trust.

What is coming

We record how many times somebody asked for a listed business's details, because that is the figure that means something rather than how many times a page happened to show you.

We are building a view for suppliers that will show you your own. It is not live yet, and we will tell you when it is rather than counting it as a reason to join today.

Questions trade suppliers ask

Can I list distribution and cabling as well as generators?

Tick the category and put what comes with the set on your website, which the listing links to. A builder who needs distribution boards and cabling on site wants to know it all arrives together.

Do you route enquiries to me?

No. A vetted tradesperson who finds your listing rings you, and we do not take the booking or stand between you and the customer.

Who is searching for generator hire?

Vetted tradespeople, mostly builders and electricians with a site near you that has no supply.

How far out will I be shown?

As far as you tell us you deliver. Pick a radius on the form and searches inside it are ordered by distance with the closest shown first, and somebody twenty miles away can find you only if you have said you go that far.
