Why Pinnacle exists

Cowboy builders have cost homeowners their savings and good tradespeople their reputation. Most platforms check the company rather than the person behind it, so the ones who turn up and do the work properly get tarred with the same brush.

Pinnacle vets the individual. Our founder, Graham Nash, has spent 25 years helping families rebuild after they were let down, more than 500 of them, sometimes out of his own pocket. That standard is why tradespeople join, and it is why the businesses listed beside them are checked too.

For you that matters in a practical way: every trade reading your listing has been vetted before they got here, on ID, insurance, qualifications and references, and homeowners running projects on Pinnacle see it too. It is a smaller audience than a directory you can buy your way into, and a considerably better qualified one.

How a listing works

Being listed is being findable, not being sold for. Nobody is sent your details without asking for them.

  1. Apply

    Tell us what you supply, where you are and how far you deliver or travel. It takes a few minutes.

  2. We check you

    Your company registration, your trading history and anything you have told us you hold. A person does this, and rings you to go through it: anything you hold that the form has no box for, a licence, a registration, a scheme membership, is told to us on that call. We come back to you either way.

  3. Your listing goes live

    You appear in the directory under the categories you cover, to anyone searching near you.

  4. They ask for your details

    A vetted tradesperson, or a homeowner running a project here, reads your listing and asks for your contact details. That is the point at which you hear from them.

  5. You take it from there

    The conversation is yours. We do not quote for you, take the order, or add anything to what you charge.

What we check

Your company registration and trading history, the products you list and how far you deliver. Where you tell us you are an approved stockist or a member of a retail scheme, we record it and check it before your listing goes live.

Being checked is the point of the directory. A trade choosing a supplier here knows somebody looked, which is not something they can assume anywhere else, and it is why we would rather list fewer businesses properly than many on trust.

What is coming

We record how many times somebody asked for a listed business's details, because that is the figure that means something rather than how many times a page happened to show you.

We are building a view for suppliers that will show you your own. It is not live yet, and we will tell you when it is rather than counting it as a reason to join today.

Questions trade suppliers ask

Will Pinnacle sell my kitchens for me?

No. You are listed where vetted tradespeople search, and homeowners running projects here search the same directory. They contact you. What you sell them and on what terms is between you and them, and we take nothing from it.

Do fitters know I design as well as supply?

Only if your website says so, because the listing links to it and carries no description of its own. Plenty of fitters want a supplier who will do the drawings with the homeowner and let them get on with fitting, so make it obvious.

Do you check the fitters contacting me?

Yes. Every tradesperson is vetted before they become a member, on ID, insurance, qualifications and references, so a fitter enquiring from here has been checked. Homeowners running projects here can find you as well, and they are not vetted to that standard.

We deliver further for a full room. How do I say so?

Pick the widest radius you will honour on the form. Searches within it are ordered by distance with the closest shown first, and a fitter twenty miles out can find you only if you have said you go that far.
